MDW – Gaggia Open House

The Milano Design Week 2025 is about to start, and Gaggia Milano will be among the protagonists of the Fuorisalone with the Gaggia Open House project, a space with engaging activities, a dynamic place to share and socialize, to talk and learn, that totally expresses the Gaggia identity and motto of “a continuously evolving tradition”.
From April 7th to the 11th, in the heart of the vibrant Porta Venezia Design District, it will be possible to live a series of unmissable experiences at the Galleria Eroici Furori, located in via Melzo 30.
The brand goes back where everything started. In fact, it was in Viale Premuda 14 – in the Porta Venezia neighborhood – that Achille Gaggia, in the 1930s, made the first experiments that then led to his revolutionary inventions that could give life to the “Italian espresso with crema naturale”.
Enter, live, and be inspired by our world
Gaggia chose a famous contemporary art gallery set up with two areas ready to welcome everybody who is interested in the Gaggia world. When entering, there will be three coffee stations with the new Gaggia Classic GT and the MDF55 grinder, managed by professional baristas of the Accademia Italiana Baristi. These coffee corners will also be the stage for specialty coffee and latte art masterclasses held by experts. To give the stations a special touch, Gaggia engaged Eccentrico – an Italian brand specialized in quality tiles and ceramics – and opted for interesting colorful combinations and innovative textures.
The second space will be the stage for artistic performances and interactive talks with guests coming from the world of coffee, art, and design.

Classic GT: get on track!
This creative space offers the opportunity to present the new Classic GT to a wide international audience made up of attentive and curious people, and to convey the values and the identity of the brand in an authentic way, as a real manifesto for the Gaggia DNA. Created for the ones who want to have a bespoke espresso experience, Classic GT combines high technology with a signature Italian design and an almost centennial tradition. Designed and made in Italy, this machine offers an unprecedented interactivity and a fully customizable experience to the home baristas that can’t wait to…get on track!

A rich and complete program
Some of the events of the Gaggia Open House:
- Espresso Hour (April 7, morning): Gaggia opens the week with a special coffee tasting with the sweet pastries by Pasticceria Angelo Inglima, and a special DJ set.
- Live performances by three selected artists (April 8, 9, 10): Eugenio Filippi, Luca Font and Marta Lagna will personalize Gaggia Classic GT
- Gaggia Talks (every afternoon, starting at 3 pm): an informal chat with coffee, art, and design experts who will share their experiences, stories, opinions
- Tastings and demo (every day): the guests could discover the features of Classic GT and of the MDF55 grinder and could taste coffee and milk drinks thanks to the Accademia Italiana Baristi
- Exclusive Masterclasses (April 8-11): with specialty coffee experts it will be possible to learn the secret for the best extraction of an espresso and for the best latte art, with milk and plant-based drinks
An authentic all-round experience
During the 5 days of the Milano Design Week, Gaggia aims to become a meeting and aggregation point for the neighborhood, around the coffee ritual, enriching that moment with contents that represent the Italian excellence, that could stimulate creativity, foster dialogues, learning, and inclusion. For Gaggia, coffee is culture itself, and not only a beverage. It is art, rituals, symbol and expression of the Italian traditional hospitality.
Gaggia Open House will be a space where design and tradition come together to give life to engaging and interesting experiences.
